You need no man to teach you

But the anointing which ye have received - That ointment, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, mentioned 1 John ; note. Ye need not that any man teach you - The Gnostics, who pretended to the highest illumination, could bring no proof that they were divinely taught, nor had they any thing in their teaching worthy the acceptance of the meanest Christian; therefore they had no need of that, nor of any other teaching but that which the same anointing teacheth, the same Spirit from whom they had already received the light of the glory of God, in the face of Jesus Christ. Whatever that taught, they needed; and whatever those taught whose teaching was according to this Spirit, they needed. John does not say that those who had once received the teaching of the Divine Spirit had no farther need of the ministry of the Gospel; no, but he says they had no need of such teaching as their false teachers proposed to them; nor of any other teaching that was different from that anointing, i. No man, howsoever holy, wise, or pure, can ever be in such a state as to have no need of the Gospel ministry: they who think so give the highest proof that they have never yet learned of Christ or his Spirit. And is truth - Because it is the Spirit of truth John

The Teaching Spirit

Bolero Ozon. Adam Pro. Adam speaks The story of Adam and Eve is known throughout the world. It is a tale passed down through the beginning of humanity that is believed by Christians, Jews and Muslims alike. This book gives a detailed portrayal of the familiar story from the perspective of Adam. It tells of the relationship Adam had with God before and after Eve was created and before and after the fall as well.

Adam narrates significant events of history such as the fall of Satan, the first murder, the great flood and the origins of the Jewish, Christian and Muslim nations. Along the way he explains mysteries like creation, evolution, giants, dinosaurs, reincarnation and the spiritual laws that control the universe.

As Adam tells his story he produces a scathing diatribe directed at organized religion with the passion only the one and only original man can muster. This story is thought provoking and entertaining and should appeal to fans of fiction and non fiction, believers, non believers and lovers of philosophy.

How do we respond to a Protestant that uses the above verse to then claim that authority is needed for proper interpretation, doctrine, etc.? First thing is that this verse has nothing to do with anything that relates to who has authority to interpret the bible. Again, they fail to take the entire book into account. This whole book is about the inner struggles of the early church and the particular verse listed above is exactly the same.

Verse-by-Verse Bible Commentary

I seek to be a voice and mouthpiece for the Lord. My campaign is simple, to preach the TRUE gospel of Christ without the need or desire to make a profit. True, money is a necessity in this world, but it is not why I write. To teach you to love in the manner Christ prescribed is my ultimate goal, and to do so in a selfless manner is my gift to God. To tell the world that they have been bamboozled by the false prophets, and that they do not have to listen to these hypocrites any longer is my joy. I seek to set the people free, even as my Lord came to do. I pray that all men would see that I have come in the name of the Lord, for to do his will only. In a world inundated with religions and beliefs of every kind, many people, in their quest to find God, are often times left sifting through the spiritual rubble, trying to piece together their lives. Finally, the Lord gave me a book that is able to heal the broken hearts, give sight to the blind, raise the dead, and cast out devils.

Our last time together in this letter was to see what John had to say about the tremendous adequacy of the Word of God to bring us, if we submit to it, to the full experience of vital, fruitful living. It never fails to thrill me that Christianity is not trying to produce religious plaster saints, but thoroughly human individuals who operate as God intended them to operate.
