I imagine all the beautiful things that are coming from this…things like families working together to make dinner, playing together in backyards, pets who are thrilled their humans will be home ALL day again, finding new and creative ways to stay connected to family and friends, and having this moment to pause and remember all that is really important in life centers on our relationships and those we love. I also know, though, that there are many challenges. All of our administrative staff are now working from home.

At the Y, youth can strengthen their minds and make new friends through programs that enrich, educate, and encourage them to explore their passions and be themselves. This one-day course includes ASHI-Approved Certification card and can help young adults interview for suitable babysitting positions. Participants will learn how to choose safe and age-appropriate toys and games, prevent injuries and be prepared if an emergency happens, handle bedtime issues, and more!

And parents get a chance to go out, too! Kids will be supervised by caring and responsible Y staff while they have a blast! This program introduces boys and girls ages to the art of dance. This class will allow children to express and explore their creative side as they discover different movements and dance techniques. Dancing will help them build confidence in a safe and friendly environment.

Perfect for our younger Zumba fans. Kids Zumba classes feature kid-friendly routines based on original Zumba choreography. We break down the step, add games, activities, and cultural exploration elements into the class structure. A Y camp at your school! Each week the Y goes to different elementary schools in Boise and provides an awesome, imagination inspiring after-school program.
